Judo
(Gentle Way)

Learn JUDO "The Gentle Way" in a continuous year round program. Join any time. Easy and fun! A healthy family activity.

Judo is an Olympic sport which is the 2nd most popular sport in the world after Soccer.

There is NO Kicking or Hitting. Judo emphasizes care and respect for your opponent. In fact the two fundamental principles of judo are:

"Maximum Efficiency, Minimum Effort" and "Mutual Welfare and Benefit"

Techniques of KODOKAN JUDO are taught in a safe and fun way with special attention for beginners. Learning is stressed rather than winning or losing.  For boys and girls 8 to 18 years old. Visually or hearing impaired are encouraged to join. Visitors are welcome at each class.

Children (6 to 18 yrs.) are encouraged to participate in our bi-monthly invitational tournaments for fun and to show parents what they have learned. Adults may help at tournaments with timing and scorekeeping.

On December 15, 2007, several local judo clubs participated in our bi-monthly invitational tournament. 69 Judoka Competed on four mats. The next tournament is scheduled for February 16, 2008. Registration is 9:00 am to 9:45 am. Please mark your calendar - come and watch FREE. Special thanks to the family volunteers for making these tournaments possible.

Tournaments are also scheduled for: April 19, June 21, Aug. 16, Oct. 18 and Dec. 13.

A very special thanks to all the clubs who regularly participate:
