iSpace Pages: http://www.caligari.com/iSpace/SHELL.html iSpace is a stand alone program that uses many of the capabilities and techniques of 3D modeling to make it easier and faster to build web pages with 3D graphical content. So far this claim seems to be pretty much on the mark though, as with any completely new program and concept, it may have to undergo a few user interface changes to make its use easy to learn for all functions. Luckily its interface is based on that of trueSpace which has one of the most accessible 3D modeling interfaces I have seen. Early criticism of how much screen space was taken by the first user interface design caused Caligari to go back and completely change it even though it delayed the program's release by several months. With this kind of attitude I think we can expect some really nice improvements as iSpace grows and matures. Test Pages: At this point most of my work with iSpace involves getting to know how the program works figuring out how to best add iSpace functionality to my existing MS FrontPage 2000 web pages. Right now I am thinking in terms of included pages with control panels but I will naturally think of more things later. I pride myself on keeping my site fast to load and fast to browse. To this end I want to make sure any iSpace content I add does not significantly slow browsing and adds to the enjoyment of the visit. Ideally I hope to use iSpace to more clearly illustrate difficult concepts but for right now I am hoping to provide control panels that more clearly show the relationship between various sound file links. My iSpace examples: I am still deciding whether to explain each page here or on the page. Or both.
